Hundreds of the top water skiers from across the country are in Wilmington, Illinois this week for the 2011 GOODE Water Ski National Championships. It’s the world’s largest three-event water ski tournament and on Tuesday, Jason Staab of Hays won the men’s 35-44 year old division 3 Slalom national title.

Staab, who qualified by winning the Midwest Regional at Trophy Lakes Estates in Center City, Minnesota, was ranked 23rd coming into the championships.
