A semi making a U-turn on the 183 Bypass west of Hays was involved in an accident Tuesday morning.

A pickup traveling south hit the semi injuring the driver, 22-year-old Cody Hardy, and two passengers, all from Almena. The three were taken to Hays Medical Center. The driver of the semi was not injured.
