A pilot and a passenger escaped unharmed after an airplane accident Tuesday afternoon at Hays Regional Airport.
According to authorities, a single-engine Cessna 185 bounced the landing hard, hooked a wing, and flipped the plane on the runway. Overall, there was minimal to no fluid or fuel spill to clean up.
Multiple local agencies and emergency crews responded to the scene with the Kansas Highway Patrol investigating the crash.
The airport continued to use an alternate runway for traffic and flights were not disrupted during the response and clean-up of the crash
