The Fort Hays State men’s soccer team raced out to a 3-0 lead and defeat Doane College 4-2 Wednesday night at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

Ricardo Yeverino scored 11 minutes into the contest on a pass from Diego Cabrel. Jaccob Rangel scored his first goal of the season at 30:41. Diego Cabrel made it 3-0 at the 60:12 mark.

Doane scored two goals less than two minutes apart to pull within one before Yeverino put the game away, scoring on a breakaway at 85:13.

Kent Freund made his first start in goal for the Tigers making nine saves while giving up the two goals.

The Tigers improve to 3-2. They travel to West Texas A&M Sunday.
