Public sentiment has persuaded the Ellis County Commission to request a new resolution addressing Sunday alcohol sales.

A previous public vote prohibits sales on Sunday in unincorporated Ellis County, which includes the fairgrounds, sports complex and municipal golf course.

Commissioner Glenn Diehl says public opinion seems to have changed.

The commission has asked to have a resolution ready for next week.
