An accident on Highway 183 north of the Ellis/Rush county line shortly before noon Thursday sent one person to the hospital.

The original report from the Highway Patrol mistakenly said 18-year-old Adrianna Bieker of Schoenchen was trying to turn and was rear ended. The trooper corrected the report explaining that Bieker hit the back of a pickup driven by 47-year-old Richard Braun of Victoria as he tried to make a left turn.

Braun was not injured. Bieker was transported to Hays Medical Center.
