TMP-Marian’s Heather Ruder and Allison Pfeifer finished first and second to lead the Monarchs girls cross country team to the MCAA title Thursday in Hays. Ruder finished with a time of 15:28 with Pfeifer at 15:44. Annie Mindrup finished eighth (17:35), Kayla Walker ninth (17:43), Allison Marcell 12th (18:24) and Jenna Lang 19th (20:02).

The Monarch boys finished third behind Ellinwood and Larned. Lucas Walker finished tenth to lead TMP (18:27). Austin Dinkel finished 15th (18:57), Nick Dopita 17th (19:13), Adam Urban 18th (19:31) and Ross Werth (20:41).
