A 67-year-old Hays woman was injured after striking 3 cows on Highway 183, shortly after 8 PM Monday evening.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Mary A. Karlin  was northbound on Highway 183 (5 miles North of Hays), when she struck the cows in the roadway. Visibility conditions were reportedly reduced due to rain in the area.

Karlin was transported to Hays Medical with injuries.
