Cloud County Community College has become the second recipient of a grant from EnergyNET Kansas. The grant will fund online course development for a 68-credit-hour wind energy technology education program.
EnergyNET, which is short for Energy Network of Education and Training, is coordinated by Fort Hays State University.
Cloud County will receive $265,000. The program offers a technical certificate and an associate’s degree to train entry-level operators and maintenance technicians for the wind energy generation industry.
