
The 13th-ranked Kansas Jayhawks shot 61-percent in the first half, racing out to a 30-point halftime lead and defeat the Fort Hays State Tigers 101-52 Tuesday at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Tigers shot just 29-percent in the first half and missed all nine of their 3-point tries. Fort Hays finished 33-percent for the game and just 4-22 from beyond the arc.
Lance Russell led three Tigers in double-figures with 11 points. Markus Yarbrough and KC Rodenburg both added 10.
KU was led by Thomas Robinson who scored 22 popints and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Fort Hays State opens their season for real Sunday afternoon at Nebraska-Kearney.
