Kansas Falls To No. 2 Kentucky

Kentucky shot 64-percent from the floor in the second half and clamped down defensively, holding Kansas to 28-percent shooting in the second period to defeat the Jayhawks 75-65 Tuesday night at the State Farm Champions Classic in front of sellout crowd Madison Square Garden.

KU and UK were tied at 28 at halftime but the Wildcats quickly took charge in the second half and led by as many as 17 midway through.

Doron Lamb scored 17, Terrance Jones added 15 to lead second-ranked Wildcats.
Tyshawn Taylor scored 22 to lead the Jayhawks (1-1). Thomas Robinson added 11 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out with 3:31 to play.
