
The Fort Hays State Tigers use an early 12-0 run to build a double-figure first half lead an go on for a 101-53 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State Saturday night at Gross Coliseum.
Fort Hays State shot 59-percent in the first half including 9-for-15 from 3-point range for a 61-31 halftime lead. The Tigers shoot 52-percent for the game and hit 15-25 from 3-point range.
Kate Edwards led four Lady Tigers in double-figures with 17 points and nine rebounds. Melissa Nelson added 16, Traci Keyser 15 and Kaiameka Brown 10. Nelson was 4-for-5 from 3-point range while Keyser hit 5-of-7.
The win improves FHSU to 5-0 on the season.
