Lucille Alene Keller

Hays, Kansas – Lucille Alene Keller, age 93, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

She was born July 17, 1918, in rural Trego County Kansas, to Samuel M. and Ludwicha (Sauer) Glass. She married Rudolph R. Keller on November 21, 1938, at Ellis, Kansas. He died November 13, 1969.

She was raised in Ellis, Kansas, and moved to Hays, Kansas, in 1941. She was a manager for Montgomery Wards in Hays, Kansas, for 30 years and retired in 1980. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hays, Kansas and has been with the Hays Senior Center as Past President and Advisory Board member since 1982.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Samuel H. Glass; and four sisters, Minnie Kennedy, Marie Salmon, Freda Bunker and Hilda Glass.

Services are 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays 1919 E. 22nd Hays, Kansas 67601. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Thursday all at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays. Burial in Fort Hays Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hays, Kansas.
