The TMP-Marian boys basketball team fell behind 20-8 after the first quarter and 34-10 at halftime and fall to DeSoto 57-34 in the opening round of the Hays City Shootout. 

The Monarchs outscore the Wildcats 24-23 in the second half.

Jacob Fouts was the only Monarch to reach double-figures scoring 16.

The Monarchs will play Newton Friday at 5:45pm at the Felten Middle School Gym.
