Daniel J. Edsall

Daniel J. Edsall, age 66, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Smith County Memorial Hospital Smith Center, Kansas.

He was born October 27, 1945, in Hays, Kansas, to Claude and Barbara Anna (Weber) Edsall. He married Patsy (Kuntzsch) Braun on May 25, 1996, at Russell, Kansas.

He was a farmer and also worked for the Leo J. Dreiling’s Farms. He attended Victoria High School, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, Kansas, and moved to Hays in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was living at the Hays Good Samaritan Center and the Prairie Haven Nursing Center at Kensington, Kansas this past year.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Edsall, of the home; one step son, Fred Braun and wife, LaDonna Braun, Bunker Hill, KS; three step daughters, Sharon Rupp, Karen Riedel and husband, Lloyd, Connie Pemberton and husband, Del, all of Hays, KS; two brothers, his twin, Frank Edsall, Ivan Edsall and wife, Kathy, all of Victoria, KS; 10 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 5, 2011, at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays 1919 East 22nd Street Hays, Kansas 67601. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery Hays, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the mortuary.
