Tyshawn Taylor scored 24 points and dished out five assists, as the 15th-ranked Kansas Jayhawks used a huge second half to beat the South Florida Bulls, 70-42.
Thomas Robinson, who had six consecutive double-doubles to start the season, ended with 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Jayhawks (5-2), who have won two in a row since a loss to Duke on November 23.
Augustus Gilchrist donated 11 points for the Bulls (5-4), who have dropped two straight games.
Following a tight first half, Kansas took a 24-21 edge into the locker room.
The Jayhawks woke up in the second half, scoring the frame’s first seven points to grab a 31-21 lead.
The Bulls hung around and got to within five, 36-31, on Hugh Robertson’s dunk with 12:17 to play.
But Travis Releford, Conner Teahan and Taylor made three straight three- pointers for Kansas to make it a 47-33 contest with 9 1/2 minutes remaining.
Kansas led by as many as 28, 67-39, on Robinson’s steal and slam with 2:36 to play.
