More Clouds But Warmer Today

A lee side trough will strengthen across extreme eastern Colorado today. As a result, southwesterly winds of 10 to 15 mph early this morning will increase up to 15 to 25 mph by this afternoon.

Although there will be some increased clouds, warmer temperatures can be expected across western Kansas this afternoon with highs up into the upper 40s across central Kansas. Lower to mid 50s are likely across more southwestern portions of Kansas. Temperatures will not be quite as cold tonight with lows primarily in the 20s. Although, a few teens will still be possible across central Kansas.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Wind chill values as low as 4 early. Southwest wind between 11 and 16 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. North northwest wind between 9 and 16 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Wind chill values as low as 4. North northeast wind 15 to 18 mph becoming east 7 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 19. Southeast wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. South southeast wind 7 to 9 mph becoming north northeast.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 44.
