The Lady Monarchs of Thomas More Prep – Marian nearly let a 15-point 4th quarter lead disappear but held on Thursday night against Hoisington, beating the Lady Cardinals 43-40.

The Hoisington home crowd didn’t have much to cheer about throughout the game with their team down double digits the majority of the game, but the Lady Cardinals outscored TMP 19-10 in the 4th quarter to make things interesting.

With TMP up 41-40 with under 10 seconds to go, Hoisington was forced to foul senior Jenna Lang.  Lang knocked down both free throws to make it a 3-point ballgame, and a good look from behind the arc fell just short at the buzzer for Hoisington.

Lang closed the night with a game-high 14 points.  TMP improves to 10-3 on the season and takes control of the conference standings, now 3-0.
