Kate Lehman was two blocked shots short of a triple-double. The Newton, Kan. freshman scored 13 points, grabbed 11 rebounds had eight blocked shots and four assists as the Fort Hays State Lady Tigers ended a two-game losing streak with a 63-56 home win over Truman State Wednesday night.

The Tigers started the game hitting just six of their first 19 shots but finished the half connecting on nine of their last 11 for a 33-17 lead at the break and pushed the lead as high as 11 twice in the second half.

Kate Edwards added  21 points and eight boards as FHSU improves to 16-7 and 8-7 in the MIAA.

Becka McHenry scored a game-high 24 points to lead Truman who falls to 12-9 and 7-9 n the conference.
