A chance for a wintery mix of light freezing rain…sleet…or/and light snow will move into parts of western Kansas on Tuesday night.
This area is mainly north of a line from Johnson City to Dodge City and Pratt. Then during the day on Wednesday much of southwest and south central Kansas could have a mix of rain and snow. Mostly light rain is possible from Ashland to Pratt and south.
As the system moves out of western Kansas on Wednesday night a switch over to light snow is possible mainly northwest and north of Dodge city. Only light amounts of rain and snow are anticipated. Snowfall could range near an inch from Syracuse to Scott City to Hays…to a trace from Elkhart to Dodge City and Larned.

Wednesday: Snow likely, mainly between 10am and 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 37. East wind 7 to 11 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
