The Kansas Special Olympics Tournament in Hays next week will include a new activity. Along with basketball and cheerleading, participants will be encouraged to add fitness activities to their routine. Senior Vice President of Public Relations Donna Zimmerman says the new initiative is part of Shape-Up Kansas.

Over 1200 athletes will participate in the games and cheerleading competition. The tournament will be March 15-17 at Gross Memorial Coliseum, Hays High School and Hays Recreation Center.
