Frances L. ” Frankie” Schreiber

Hays, Kansas – Frances L. “Frankie” Schreiber, age 79, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center, Hays, Kansas. She was born May 11, 1932, at Joplin, Missouri, to Olvy L. and Hazel E. (Tennant) Musick.

She married Melvin J. “Mel” Schreiber on September 27, 1952, at Halstead, Kansas.

She was the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of U.S.D. #385, in Andover, Kansas, for 13 years and retired in 2004. She worked at the A B C Child Care Center, in Andover, Kansas, for six years and worked 19 years at J C Penney. She was a member of the Church of the Magdalen, Wichita, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin J. “Mel” Schreiber, of the home; one son, Dale E. Schreiber and wife, Beth, Gray, TN; two daughters, Pam Joy and husband, Fred, Hays, KS; Terrie Vandine Wellington, KS; one brother, Thomas L. Musick and wife, Carol, Andover, KS; one sister, Marguerette Edmundson, Colby, KS; one brother-in-law, Jerry Foiles, Ocala, FL; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Joshua) Callahan, Jeffrey Schreiber, Chrisy (Tony) Crough, Scott Schreiber, Jessica Vandine, Brett Schreiber, Katie Joy and Courtney Vandine. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sara Foiles.

Graveside services and inurnment will be at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Ks. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Church of the Magdalen 12626 E. 21st Wichita, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at the Heritage Funeral Home, Andover, Kansas, with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. Memorial to Andover Advantage Foundation, 1432 N. Andover Road Andover, Kansas, 67002.
