Indian’s Pfannenstiel Inks With FHSU

Hays High Indian’s Hanna Pfannenstiel signed her letter of intent to run track at Fort Hays State University.  A three-sport athlete, Pfannenstiel has enjoyed success as a tennis player in the fall and a three year varsity player for the basketball team.  Hanna though has had the most success on the track were she has qualified for the 5A state track meet each of the previous three seasons.

Pfannenstiel right now though is not running.  Her right foot sits in a walking boot in an effort to heal a stress fracture.  Hanna expects to return to the track in two weeks, at which time she will have spent six weeks away from competing.  In the mean time she has been completing water work outs to keep in shape.

Pfannestiel has competed in a wide range of track events while being the top Indians scorer over the past couple of seasons.  She has competed in the 100, 200, 400, 4×100, 800, 4×400, 4×800 and long jump.

Hear comments from both Hanna and her track coach Ryan Cornelson below.
