Think it costs too much to eat healthfully? A new program from the Ellis County Extension Office will break the myth that it is too expensive to eat a nutritious diet. Plan to attend the Extension educational program “Be Waist and Wallet Wise” on Tuesday, May 8 at 12:00 noon at the Ellis County Extension Office meeting room, 601 Main Street, Suite A, in Hays.
Linda Beech, Ellis County Extension Agent, FCS, will show ways that healthy eating may actually save you money as you become waist and wallet wise. You don’t even have to radically change your habits or deny yourself all of your favorites to trim calories, boost nutrition and save dollars at the same time. Come prepared to learn some new strategies and share your own ideas for eating better for less.
Bring a lunch to enjoy during the program, if desired. Beverages will be provided. RSVP to the Ellis County Extension Office by Monday, May 7 to reserve your spot, 785-628-9430.
