
This one day hands-on workshop will review the science and techniques of safe, high quality home food preservation Karen Blakeslee, KSU food science specialist, will cover the equipment and ingredients needed, safe handling procedures and recommended processing methods for proper food preservation. Participants will work together to prepare and take home several preserved food products. Topics include dehydrating, freezing, pressure canning and water bath canning.
The cost is $20 per person and the workshop is limited to 25 people, first come-first served, ages 12 and older recommended.
