Kristina Herl is a teen with a mission. A mission to help the children and needy families of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation of South Dakota. Kristina is a sophomore at Hays High School and started this project when she was just out of 8th grade.

When Kristina found out how hard it is for most of the residence of Pine Ridge, she was devastated to think that there are people, especially children, in such great need right here in our country and yet most Americans want to help other countries fight their hunger and poverty. Kristina has been in communication with the Pine Ridge CAP office to find out what is really needed for most of their families. She has been collecting donations and buying items for almost 6 months now and is doing a wonderful job. She has been conducting small fundraisers to help with the overwhelming cost of getting all of the collected supplies to South Dakota in March of 2013, but this garage sale is hoped to be the biggest fund raiser of all.

The garage sale runs Friday, June 8th, from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday, June 9th, from 8am until ? (whenever the supporters stop attending the sale). Please help this teen accomplish her goal of helping others that are so greatly in need!
