A Plainville man died in a head-on collision on a Rooks County road Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Highway Patrol, a pickup driven by 16-year-old Mark Riley of Plainville hit a pickup driven by 45-year-old John McCune, also of Plainville, when both vehicles crossed the center line. McCune was killed. Riley was injured and taken to Rooks County Medical Center.

The accident happened around 3:30 about five miles east of Plainville.
