Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across mainly far southwest Kansas through the mid-morning hours.
Sunshine should emerge once the showers and storms dissipate…and forecast highs are expected to be in the upper 80s to lower 90s over most of southwest Kansas. Tonight, there will be a slight chance for severe thunderstorms moving out of Colorado during the mid to late evening hours.
The greatest threat for severe weather will be along and west of Highway 83 to the Colorado border…with damaging winds of 70 mph being the greatest hazard with the strongest storms.
