Center for Networked Learning to Be Built at FHSU

Developers are meeting today at Fort Hays State University to update the design phase of the new Center for Networked Learning.

The academic building will be constructed just west of Malloy Hall and house the Virtual College, the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technology, the Department of Informatics, the KFHS radio and TV studios, and laboratories for the new information systems engineering program.

It will be about 37,150 square feet, including 1,400 square feet of  shell space for future growth.  Construction costs are an estimated $11.2 million.

Completion of the Center for Networked Learning is projected for the summer of 2014, in time for the start of the 2014-15 academic year.
