The Hays Police Department conducted 15 traffic stops and responded to three animal calls on Monday. According to the Police Activity Log, Hays PD investigated five cases of criminal damage to property that occurred throughout the day on Monday. The first happened just after 2:00 am when officers responded to a disturbance call in the 3600 block of Vine Street, at the Ramada Inn. Another was reported just before 10:00 amin the 700 block of East 6th Street.
Hays PD also investigated a hit and run accident in the 1000 block of West 32nd Street in connection with criminal damage to property. The final report of criminal property damage was in the 2900 block ofHall Street, at the Presbyterian Church around10:30 Monday night.
Police officers responded to one motor vehicle accident on Monday. The accident was a person injury accident and it occurred at 32nd andVine Street.
There were three incidents of burglary/theft investigated on Monday by that Hays Police Department as well. The first was the burglary of a residence in the 1800 block of East 27th Street. There was also a report of theft in the 4300 block of Vine Street, at Wal-Mart Superstore. The final case of burglary/theft reported to the Hays PD on Monday happened sometime between February 15th and June 1st of this year, in the 200 block of West 21st Street.
Finally Police officers from the Hays Police Department also investigated a pair of battery cases. The first case was reported as simple battery in connection with suspicious activity in the 2700 block of Canal Boulevard. The incident occurred between June 9th and July 9th of this year.
The final case of battery investigated on Monday was a case of domestic battery and the removal of an unwanted person in the 1900 block ofMarshall RoadMonday evening.
