The Hays Police Department conducted 18 traffic stops and responded to seven animal calls on Wednesday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Accidents: The Hays Police Department investigated four motor vehicle accidents on Wednesday. The first happened in the 200 block of East 27th and Vine Street at 11am. Police officers also responded to an accident at 13th andVine Street Wednesday evening.
Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident involving private property Wednesday night in the 2800 block of Vine Streetat Advance Auto Parts. Officers responded to one hit and run accident on Wednesday night that occurred at 12th andMain Street.
Wednesday afternoon, just after 3:15, Hays PD conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of West 27th Street. Officers then investigated a drug offense and driving with a suspended or revoked license in connection with the traffic stop.
Intoxicated Subject: Officers investigated an intoxicated subject in connection with a disorderly conduct case in the 500 block of East 20th Street just after1:45 am Wednesday.
Officers also assisted with a drug offense in the 1200 block ofFort Street at Hays Court Services Wednesday morning.
Theft: Hays PD investigated a general theft case in the 300 block ofMain Street, at theHaysAquaticPark. The incident occurred between4:30 and6:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Officers also investigated counterfeit currency or documents in the 1200 block of East 27th Street, and the Bank of America. The Counterfeit documents were received between Monday morning and Wednesday morning.
Criminal Damage: The Hays PD responded to a pair of incidents of criminal damage to property. The first was reported in the 400 block of East 12th Street and it occurred sometime Tuesday evening. The second occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 1300 block ofCanterbury Drive at the Casey’s General Store.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers received two domestic disturbance calls on Wednesday. The first call was received just after seven o’clock Wednesday evening in the 1000 block of East 8th Street. The second call was reported in the 2100 block ofCanal Boulevard Wednesday night.
