Drought Resources Available for Cattle Producers

Emergency haying and grazing on Conservation Reserve Program land is approved for 104 Kansas counties to assist producers struggling with the drought. Todd Domer with the Kansas Livestock Association says USDA policy changes are allowing greater flexibility with the program.

The deadline for haying is August 15th and grazing can continue through September 30th.

The KLA website has a link for drought resources.
