Update: A domestic incident in June, has led to the arrest of the Saline County Emergency Management Director.
Joe Koch turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon, after the Saline County Attorney’s office issued warrants for Koch’s arrest on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated criminal sodomy, criminal restraint and criminal damage to property.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said Koch’s wife filed a report with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office in early July after moving to a home of a relative.
Butler County then forwarded the information to Saline County who conducted an investigation and then sent the report to the County Attorney for review, before warrants were issued Monday.
Koch has been the Saline County Emergency Management Director since January of 2010.
Saline County Commissioners voted Tuesday morning to place Koch on administrative leave.
Koch was still being held at the Saline County Jail on a $80,000 bond as of 3:15 pm Tuesday.
ORIGINAL: Joe Koch, the Saline County Emergency Management Director, has been arrested on multiple charges including aggravated battery; intentional physical contact with a deadly weapon, aggravated criminal sodomy; with person/animal by force, criminal restraint, and criminal damage to property.
Koch was arrested Monday afternoon at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Koch’s bond is set at $80,000.00.
