The Hays Police Department conducted 35 traffic stops and responded to seven animal calls on Tuesday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Theft: The Hays Police Department received a report of a theft in the 4300 block of Vine Street, at Wal-Mart Superstore just after 6pm Friday evening. Officers also investigated a theft in connection with a civil dispute report in the 500 block of West 20th Street Tuesday morning.
Criminal Damage: Officers investigated two reports of criminal damage on Tuesday. The first incident occurred in the early morning hours Tuesday in the 1200 block of Felten Drive. Officers received a call about suspicious activity in the area and when they responded they began to investigate damage to property. Officers also investigate damage to property in the 100 block of East 8th Street just after11am.
Traffic Stop: The Hays PD conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of East 8th Street in connection with an obstruction of a legal process Tuesday morning between9:40 and10:30 am. Officers also conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block ofVine Street and investigated the drive for driving with a suspended/revoked license Tuesday morning.
Motor Vehicle Accident: The Hays Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with private property in the 4300 block ofVine Street and Wal-Mart Superstore Tuesday evening.
Drug Offenses: Officers began investigating a drug offense case in the 300 block of Mopar Drive at the Fairfield Inn. The alleged incident occurred between Saturday the 28th and1:50pm Tuesday.
Counterfeit Currency: The Hays PD began an investigation Tuesday into a report of counterfeit currency/documents in the 1100 block of East 27th Street at Golden Belt Bank.
Harassment: Hays Police officers received a report of harassment by telephone or fax in connection with a civil dispute in the 100 block of West 12th Street Tuesday night.
Water Violation: According to the Police Activity Log, the Hays PD received three water use violations on Tuesday. The first happened in the 1200 block of East 27th at Buff Tuesday morning. The other two happened Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of West 16th and the 3000 block ofNorthridge Court.
