The Hays Police Department received eight animal calls on Saturday and two on Sunday and the Hays PD conducted 10 traffic stops on Saturday and 19 on Sunday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Battery on LEO: The Hays Police department investigated a report of battery on a LEO in the early hours of Saturday morning. The alleged incident happened in the 2200 block of Canterbury Drive, at Hays Medical Center.
Liquor Offense: Officers investigated a report of a liquor offense/sell, furnish, transport in the 500 block of West 7th Street, at Chuck’s Bar, Saturday morning just before two o’clock.
Damage to Property: The Hays PD responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 800 block of Allen Street. The alleged incident is reported to have happened between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Water Violation: According to the Hays Police Activity log there were just two reports of water use violations. The first was reported in the 400 block of East 11th Street on Saturday afternoon. And the second occurred in the 2900 block of Walnut Sunday afternoon.
Vehicle Accident: Officers received a report of a hit and run accident in the 300 block of 9th Street just before1:30 Sunday morning. When officers arrived they began to investigate the drive of the vehicle for driving under the influence.
