Larks Run-Rule Hutchinson, Stay Alive at the NBC World Series

Ziegler struck out four and walked only one for his sixth win of the summer and first at the World Series.

Austin Darby’s triple drove in two in the first. Ryan Busboom added a run-scoring single. Hays would add two with two outs in the third on consecutive doubles form Busboom, Joe Betcher and Brett Lang.

The Larks blew the game open with a six-runs sixth.

Aaron Cornell and Adam Humes led the Larks 14-hit attack with three apiece. Austin Darby, Ryan Busboom and Brett Lang each had two hits with Darby driving in four runs and Lang three.

The win improves the Larks to 33-12 overall and 4-1 at the NBC World Series. They will now play the Nevada (MO) Griffons in loser’s bracket semifinals at either 5pm or 10pm Wednesday.
