The Hays Police Department conducted 23 traffic stops and received seven animal calls on Thursday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Water Violation: The Hays Police Department had eight water use violations on Thursday. The first happened in the 2700 block of Fort Street Thursday morning just before 4:30. Three of the eight water use violations were in the 2700 block of Thunderbird Drive. All three were reported between 4:30 and 4:45 early Thursday morning. Two other water violations were reported Thursday morning, one was in the 3300 block of Thunderbird Drive and the other was in the 200 block of West 13th. Just after 4:45 Thursday afternoon a water violation was reported in the 300 block of East 23rd and the final violation was in the 2200 block of Henry Drive Thursday evening.
Damage to Property: The Hays PD received two reports of damaged to property on Thursday. The first report of criminal damage to property occurred between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning and was in the 700 block of East 12th Street. The second report was in the 500 block of West 29th Street Thursday morning.
Theft: Officers investigated a report of theft in the 200 block of West 15th Street. The alleged theft happened Thursday afternoon between two and four o’clock.
Battery: The Hays PD responded to a report of battery Thursday evening in the 800 block of Ash Street and began investigating the incident as an aggravated battery case.
Fraud: The Hays Police Department investigated credit card violations in the 1700 block of Western Plains Drive Thursday morning.
Motor Vehicle Accident: Hays Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident, Thursday evening in the 1300 block of Ash Street.
