Monday’s Police Activity Log

The Hays Police Department conducted 16 traffic stops and received 10 animal calls on Monday, according to the Police Activity Log.

DUI: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of West 7th Street in the early morning hours Monday, during the stop officers began to investigate the driver of the vehicle for alleged driving under the influence.

Suspended License: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block ofVine Street Monday morning, just after 11:00, while conducting the stop officers began to investigate the driver of the vehicle for allegedly driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department received two reports of motor vehicle accidents on Monday afternoon. The first accident was reported at noon in the 1200 block of Main Street. The second occurred in the 1000 block of East 43rd Street at12:20 pm.

Battery: The Hays PD investigated a report of aggravated battery in the 2500 block of Vine Street. The alleged incident happened between10:00 and 10:13 Monday evening.

Burglary: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 300 block of West 18th Street. The incident is alleged to have happened Sunday evening between 8:30 and Monday afternoon at 1:45.

Damage to Property: The Hays Police Department received a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of East 16th Street. Officers also investigated a report of criminal damage in connection with the suspicious activity report. The allege incident happened between 12:30AM and 11:20AM.

Water Violations: According to the Police Activity Log, there were four reports of water use violations on Monday. Three of the four were reported Monday morning. The first two happened just before 6:55AM in the 2900 block of Oak Street and the 200 block East 9th Street. The third was reported in the 2200 block of Marjorie Drive just before 10:30AM. The final water use violation was reported in the 2900 block of Willow Street Monday afternoon.
