Fort Hays State University students moving in this week may notice some changes on campus. President Ed Hammond says construction has improved the on-campus living situation.
A wing that was no longer in use at Weist Hall is in the process of being torn down. Hammond says that project is slightly behind schedule.
The president opened the fall semester with the annual Fall Convocation. The theme for the academic year is “Average is Over.” Hammond said the university strives for excellence.
Classes start on Monday.
