Scattered thunderstorms will be possible this evening along a surface trough of low pressure located near the Colorado border.
As these storms develop they will move east across western Kansas during the overnight hours. The chance of thunderstorm can then be expected again late Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Cloud to ground lightning will be the main hazard however a few of the stronger thunderstorms will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 50 mph.
