This month, the Ellis County Extension Office will kick off the first of three programs especially for senior citizens and those who care about them. Seniors, their family members and senior care givers are invited to attend these free educational programs to learn useful information. Sessions are FREE and open to the public. We ask that participants register with the Ellis Co. Extension Office 628-9430 by the Friday before the session in order to have the needed materials on hand – handouts, refreshments, door prizes.
The first session focuses on Highway Safety and Security and is set for Tuesday, September 18 from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Meeting Room at 601 Main Street. Trooper Tod Hileman of the KS Highway Patrol will discuss new driving laws, highway concerns for older drivers and when to give up the keys.
