Monday’s Police Activity Log

The Hays Police Department conducted six traffic stops and received 11 animal calls on Monday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two theft reports that occurred on Monday. The first report was in the 1300 block of Western Plains Drive. The alleged theft occurred between 3:30 and 4:00AM. The second theft was reported in connection with a report of temporary deprivation property in the 1500 block of East 40 Bypass Monday morning.

Child in Need: Officers responded to the 2300 block of Plum Street Monday afternoon, at 1:24 for a report of a Child in need of care.

Vehicle Accident: The Hays PD responded to three motor vehicle accidents Monday afternoon. The first motor vehicle accident with private property occurred in the 2700 block of Vine Street at 1:20PM. The second vehicle accident occurred at Sherman Avenue and 30th Street. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident with a personal injury in the 2600 block of US-183 Highway at 4:44PM.

Damage to Property: There was a pair of criminal damage to property reports investigated by the Hays Police Department on Monday. The first was reported in the 100 block of West 8th Street. The damaged occurred between 8:00AM Sunday and 2:00PM Monday. Officers also investigated a report of criminal damage to property in connection with a civil dispute in the 800 block of Elm Street Monday afternoon.
