The Hays Police Department is investigating a report of a man who approached a 10-year-old girl Monday evening around 5:30 in the 2000 block of Fort, asking if she wanted a ride.

After the man asked the girl where she was going and if she wanted a ride, she ran home. Police were contacted later.

The man was in a white pickup pulling a trailer. The Hays Police are trying to identify the man and would like him to contact Detective Dave Bunger at (785) 625-1030.
