The Hays Police Department conducted 21 traffic stops and received four animal calls on Friday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Driving Under the Influence: Officers conducted two driving under the influence stops in the early morning hours Friday. The first stop was conducted in the 700 block of Elm Street at 12:43AM. Officers conducted the second stop in the 1200 block of Vine Street at1:13AM.
Civil Dispute: The Hays Police Department investigated two reports of civil dispute on Friday. The first incident was reported in the 2200 block of Canterbury. Officers investigated a report of harassment by telephone of fax in connection with the dispute report on Friday evening. The Hays PD investigated a report of simple battery in connection with a civil dispute in the 4000 block of General Hays Road
Theft: Officers conducted two theft investigations on Friday. The first was in the 2700 block ofHall Street at 4:21PM and the second was in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 8:41PM.
Vehicle Accidents: Hays PD responded to two motor vehicle accident reports on Friday. Both accidents were reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street. The first accident occurred at 9:05AM and the second accident was reported at 4:05PM.
Suicidal Subject: Officers responded to the 500 block of East 11th Street for the report of an intoxicated and suicidal subject Friday evening at 7:04.
