FHSU Women’s Soccer Blanks Friends

 

Kylee Loneker scored two goals Monday in the FHSU women’s soccer team’s 6-0 victory over Friends at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

The FHSU women’s soccer team moved to 5-3 overall on the season with a 6-0 win over Friends University on Monday. FHSU led just 1-0 at halftime, but scored five times in the second half for the runaway victory.

Sade Humphrey and Kylee Loneker each scored two goals, combining for the first four goals scored by the Tigers. Alexis Aiman assisted on two of the goals, and Jordan Hester and Dani Harris on the others.

Ember Albertson had the only unassisted goal for the Tigers in the game. Bethany Keefer scored the sixth and final goal late on a corner kick from Gabrielle Makatura.

The Tigers nearly shut out the Falcons in shots, allowing just one in the game. Fort Hays State had 31 shots in the game, 15 in the first half and 16 in the second half.

Nicole Barnaba picked up the win in goal for FHSU, moving to 3-1 on the season. All three of her wins this year were shutouts.

FHSU hosts Washburn in conference action on Friday at 6 pm at FHSU Soccer Stadium.
