The new Rooks County Regional Airport will be dedicated Saturday afternoon. The ceremony will include Governor Sam Brownback and members of the Congressional delegation, FAA, state and local officials.
The airport is the first new airport constructed in Kansas since 1989. It replaces the turf runway airports that served Plainville and Stockton.
A lunch concession will be available from noon to 1:30 with the ceremony beginning at 2pm. The airport is located off of Highway 183 about five miles south of Stockton on P Road.
