The Hays Police Department conducted 25 traffic stops and received eight animal calls on Tuesday, according to the Hays Police Activity League.
Burglary: The Hays Police Department investigated two burglary reports on Tuesday. Officers investigated the burglary of a vehicle in the 3200 block of Hall Street on Tuesday. The alleged burglary occurred between Monday evening at 5:45 and 8:00 Tuesday morning. The Hays PD also investigated the burglary of a business in the 600 block of Vine Street that occurred between Tuesday morning at 2:30 and 4:17 Tuesday afternoon.
Pursuit/Chase: Hays PD conducted a pursuit/chase in the 2300 block of Hall Street at 1:35 Tuesday morning. Officers also investigated the driver of the vehicle for driving under the influence in connection with the pursuit.
Assault: Officers investigated a report of assault and battery that occurred Tuesday between 1:30 and 2:45AM.
Vehicle Accidents: There were three motor vehicle accidents reported to the Hays Police Department on Tuesday. Officers investigated a report of a hit and run accident in the 1200 block of Walnut Tuesday morning at 1:40AM. The second accident reported to the Hays PD was an accident involving private property at 8:46 in the 3300 block of Lincoln Drive. The final accident the Hays PD investigated on Tuesday was another accident with private property in the 1900 block of Vine Street. Officers also investigated a drug offense with the incident.
Suicidal Subject: Officers responded to the 3000 block of East 14th Street to perform a welfare check in connection with the report of a suicidal subject at 6:52PM Tuesday.
