The Salina Police Officer that was shot in the face late Thursday night has been released from an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield says Chuck Huen was released from the Hospital Saturday and returning home. Mansfield says Huen will need to have more surgery.

Huen was shot while in a home at 308 N 13th while seeking a suspect who stole a car. 19 year old Marjion Gadson fired a handgun as officers were searching for him in the home.

Gadson was found dead in the basement of the home early Friday morning, although no information has been released on if he died from a self inflicted gunshot wound or was shot by police.
