Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected across portions of southwest, south central, and west central Kansas as a strong jet stream core persists from north to south over the western plains.
Temperatures will warm into the mid 70s over most of the area. After a couple more pleasant days with highs in the 70s and 80s…cooler weather is in the cards as a deep upper level trough forms across the north central portion of the country by late week.
The upcoming weekend could be really cool with temperatures staying in the 40s and 50s with an increased chance of rain.
