The Hays Police Department conducted 26 traffic stops and received 11 animal calls on Friday, according to the Hays Police Activity log.
Burglary: The Hays Police Department began an investigation into the report of a pair of burglaries on Friday. The first alleged burglary, of a vehicle, was reported in the 2700 block of Colonial Street. The burglary occurred between 4:00pm Thursday afternoon and 11:30 Friday morning. The second burglary was reported in the 800 block of East Street Friday evening between 8:00 and 8:50.
Vehicle Accidents: Officers responded to seven motor vehicle accidents on Friday. Officers investigated four reports of a motor vehicle accidents involving private property on Friday. The first was reported in the 1900 block of Vine Street at 9:50AM. Another was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 3:00PM. An accident involving private property was reported in the 1000 block of East 8th Street at 5:42.
The final motor vehicle accident with private property was reported in the 500 block of Halladay Street at 6:13 Friday evening. Another motor vehicle accident was reported in the 400 block of West 5th Street at 2:46PM Friday. The final motor vehicle accident on Friday, was reported in the 700 block of Elm Street at 9:10PM.
Disturbance: The Hays Police Department received four disturbance reports on Friday. The first was a report of a fight in the 700 block of Elm Street at 12:55AM. Officers also removed an unwanted person in the 1200 block of Main Street at 10:59AM. The final two disturbance reports were because of the noise.
Civil Dispute: Hays Police officers invested two reports of civil dispute on Friday. The first was reported in connection with a theft in the 400 block of East 8th Street Friday morning at 10:11. The second civil dispute was reported in the 2400 block of Main Street at 10:46PM.
